I see the cometic one comes in so many different thickness. Im going for mucho boost and the block and head are both being redecked with stock compression and 390 lift cams. How thick can i go without sacrificing sealing. Thanks.

The thickness shouldn't interfere with the seal, it will however change your static compression ratio. Some people worry about lowering the static compression ratio with a thick head gasket because it could negatively effect your "quench" and "squish" effect inside the combustion chamber.

I used a thick 2mm Cometic on my RB20 with no adverse side effects though. Less compression will allow more boost for any given octane.
