Hey guys. I just registered, and all because of this thread...even though I was going to wait unil I actually own a 240. Yeah, I'm one of those guests who uh come here a lot just browsing all the topics and stuff. Never bothered registering because of the above reason. But, from reading and stuff, I'm trying to learn as much about cars and stuff as I can- I've only recently gotten into them. I have a friend with an SR modded 240, and I'm sure he can help out with mine when/if i ever get one. But hey, I'll be sure to come here if I ever have any troubles too- just from reading these past couple of months, I know you guys are all cool and all and stuff. So uh, haha don't expect me to post again until I get a 240 or something- I'll probably just keep browsing the forums until that day comes. Again, even though it feels kinda wierd considering that I don't have a car, it feels pretty good to be part of a great community like this. :)

Healing-Glad to have you! Even though you dont owna 240SX it doesnt mean that you can not be a part of our community. This is a community of car enthusiasts and you dont need to own a Nissan to be a part of it.

You don't *have* to own a 240SX or any car at all to enjoy these forums.

Do you like cars?Do you like talking about cars?

If you answered yes to those two questions, you should join in here at NICO!

Werd on that. I was hardly 15 when I joined :D. It's all about being an enthusiast, not having a car.

werd. Post a lot buddy. Ask questions(search first). That's the best way you'll learn. Search online for random car topics. That way you'll have the knowledge for when you have the car. That way you'll know what to do when you start modding it. However, I'm not saying that knowledge is a replacement for experience... but it's better than nothing huh...

Hell, it's been a few months since I've registered, and I still don't own a 240 :(. But, that won't stay the same for long! Been saving up money and now have enough to buy my own car! (the CRV's one of my parent's cars)

And nearby there's a 92 240sx base coupe (coupe>fb :)) 5spd with LE leather seats and a mere 121,000 miles. All for $2,200! :D

Ahhh yes, I have you out-aged by 5 months and a day BB TURBO, and I've been here like 4 months longer. Anyway, yeah... that''s kinda beside the point... maybe... I dunno...

Anyway, the point is come and learn. It truly is no replacement for experience (try putting your MAF on backwards once for that experience...). There's nothing more fun than working on your car and then driving it and having it work! Now... if only I had the cash for those coilovers already...

Oh, and this stuff is addicting, so join the party well informed of the possible problems (ie, shortage of cash)...
