Hi folks,
My q45's blinker relay is acting funny recently. Sometimes it works just fine, sometimes it starts blinking and then dies. Subsequent turning on/off may help or may not. It may start blinking, make one-three cycles and dies again. The same behavior when I try to use emergency lights.
My question is whether I should replace combination flasher unit outright or try to clean it up somehow (some relays' contacts can be cleaned up with alcohol and continious switching). Also, since I've never done this, I'm interestedin the procedure of replacing the unit. I guess it's inside the steering wheel cover. Should I disconnect battery prior to that and just open the cover and pull it out or there any other things to watch for?
Thanks!Paul
