Color of wire for dash lights behind 89 240sx digital hud cluster?

Anyone know the color of the wire which connects to the instrument cluster on the 89 240sx w/ digital hud display that turns on the dash lights when the parking lights or headlights are switched on? I can probe the wires, but that's a lot of wires and most of the time multiple wires turn on, haha.

Before responding telling me to search, I did that already and have checked all fuses, radio wiring and anything else I could find.

Ok, I have a weirdddd dash light problem.

It is on fine w/ the headlights off, never flickers. It's basically a dim version of lights on.

Once I turn the headlights or parking lights on. Most of the time it shows up in the beginning, then as I start driving, it either flickers in and out, or turns off completely.

What I am planning on doing is to cut the wire that turns on this light and wire it all the way to another 12v source that turns on w/ headlights (something I learned from another poster, but he never mentioned which wire color he cut into).

Any help is appreciated.
