Hi all,

Is there a reasonable way to change the gauge color for M 2006-07? I am not particularly into the orange scene...
Thanks!

best way is to just find an 08+ cluster from a junkyard and put that 1 in. direct fit. you could manually take yours apart and pick off/resoldier new leds but it never comes out right and not worth the trouble.

But then you'll have a mismatched interior...and unfortunately, the other orange lights are hard to change and just swapping parts is not an option since the panels (at least the main one) have different wiring. Only way is to do a full manual LED replace by hand.

i assumed he was asking about just the cluster gauges specifically. it's true the other control panel pieces are not swappable but tbh i'm running the white cluster with the orange control panel and i like the contrast between the 2 colors. :dblthumb: not my picture but looks similar to this:

Take a picture of your interior. I'd like to see it. Also, was the swap hard for the speedometer?

My dads 2014 Pathfinder I believe is similar.

Regarding a swap of the cluster: If your car has the radar cruise control, you will need a cluster form a car that ALSO has this feature or you lose it. Also, you will have to get the dealer (or someone else) to reset the odometer to reflect your actual miles.
I have seen clusters available on Ebay but they don't usually indicate if that cluster has the radar cruise and the mileage is usually higher than your present mileage.

This is all not true.

The swap literally takes 10 min. You unsnap the two wood trim pieces from both sides of the cluster and it pulls right out. If you follow the service manual they make it sound like a 2 hour job starting from under the hood... LOL! I'll take pictures later when it gets darker.
