My '71 240z came with a 1977 Pioneer KP-8005 Cassette Tape AMFM radio that was pulled out by the PO. Unfortunately, he simply diked off the old connections leaving 1 1/2 inches of the colored wires. Haven't been able to find any manuals or wiring diagrams on the internet.

The colors are:

Red - with a fuse cap - +12 volts
Black - Ground
Blue - ? Power Antenna
Green - ?
Gray - ?

If I remember correctly, the speakers commonly returned to ground. This would make the Green and Gray wires Left and Right speakers leads.

If I'm wrong, it would be really easy to fry things. So I'd appreciate any info on this.

Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you mean the stereo colors, right?

green is USUALLY the antenna wire.
gray is USUALLY one of the speaker positive leads....

Ok I was able to confirm my original theory:

Red +12 Volts
Black = ground
Blue = Antenna control (+12 volts when radio is on)
Gray = Left speaker +
Green = Right speaker +
Speaker - return to ground

Unit actually sounded pretty good for 35 years old.
