Ok so I have an 03 G35 in black and having a color change done on it to a Pearl White. So my question is the guy at the bodyshop told me that when they replace the Quarter panel protective guards that go by the rear front fender that help from rock chips that it will look a little YELLOWISH.Which I don't understand since I am getting a PEAL WHITE color. So does anybody know if the sticker have a yellow tint to it or why it would look yellowish? Confused.

Wow that's a big job.

To answer your question. I don't think so. If you go with a really good company like 3M you should have no color change or discoloration.

Just a question. Have you actually considered to change the car instead of the paint? Paiting inside and out seems to be a lot of $$$. I think it would be cheaper to sell yours and buy a Pearl Ehite with the options you need.

Yes it's a big job but I am getting a hook up on the work. If I could afford a G37 I would of bought it already but with the way the economy is this is the best route for now. Thanks for reply.

Auto or 6mt. I'd be interested if it was a 6mt IP (especially if it was wingless!!!)

If they put "flex" in the plastic, it can have an effect on the color discoloration... but I would go check with some more experienced painters first, I am by no means very experienced... but have heard of this effect on bumpers as well.

Worst case scenario buy/trade for some new ivory pearl splash guards.

How much you getting that paint job done for? I know the guy who does my work pretty well and It'd cost me $3-4K.

Thats a good price, for the whole car. Hopefully they do it right. It basically entails taking the entired car apart. Realize that you will have black show through if you get rock chips.

So pretty!!!

If it was manual, I'd be all over it. I drove a couple of autos while shopping and couldn't stand their slowness. I later "realized" that the slowness may have been directly related to the drive by wire and the adaptive properties of the ECU. In other words, an auto that's been "trained" for speed may have made me happy.

Now my wife and I both drive manual. She'd laugh at me for going back to auto lol.
