Has anybody had any collision repairs on their 2014 rogue? Got rear ended today and was just looking for some off the record insight of what I should be expecting through the insurance adjustment estimate

Any insight will be appreciated - and I get this would be just educated guesses. Thanx in advance for any help

------

photo to be added when I get back to my pc, but here's what I'm noticing.

Primary impact was from a pickup moving 15 mph+/-, striking generally the passenger side rear corner. Car still drivable

Known damage:
- significant Passenger side rear corner impact dent and scrape
- taillight assembly passenger side
- rear cargo area door scrape and minor dent
- chrome bumper protector cracked
- bumper cover cracked and scraped
- various squeaks
- horn now makes a ping sound at the end of the standard honk
- airbags did not deploy, but passenger side sensor light (the one that comes on when there is not a passenger) is now illuminated when there's someone in the seat
- rogue handling feels a little tight - but this might me being hyper sensitive after the collision

Luckily, I did not have damage the extent you did. However, it was $1700 (canadian) to replace my rear bumper (Nissan parts) and properly blend in the paint with the surroundings. Within that was $300 for a glass company to remove/install the rear windows.

Also, there was some hidden damage that was repair for $700-$900 (the evap cannister that sites behind the right wheel had a crack, my gas cap loose light would start coming on randomly). That was a hard one to get them to fix because they were convinced I was just leaving the gas cap loose. But the cannister was cracked (they return the parts that are damaged).

You seem to have quite a bit more damage than I do. While our cost to repair parts is higher (I assume, I live in a very economically strong region), you still have a lot of work ahead of you because the entire side of your car needs repair. I would assume you would be blending paint into the doors as well, at least on the passenger side. My only concern would be how they plan to repair the quarter panel - the other parts are easily replaced.

You should make sure you deal with a reputable shop that has a warranty on their work, and a reputation/history so they are around. Also enquire with your insurance company if they have "preferred shops" and if they offer any additional guarantees on the work when you go through them.

Good luck with your repairs.
