The government has more advanced technology than most people realize. I'm sure they have tracking devices the size of a coin that can be placed anywhere in the car that you would never find.

Please don't.PoorManQ45 wrote:Hmmm... Next up, telling people about law enforcement interactions will be a crime...
I would not have given it back without a lawyer. They put it on your vehicle. They chose to give it to you.

Why don't you start with this one and then find the other thousand credible sources on what happens when a government becomes so intent at starting at its own navel that it forgets to uphold the Constitutional freedoms it is otherwise sworn to protect.wingFeather wrote:If he's doing nothing wrong, then the FBI wouldn't be tracking him.
The FBI isn't exactly benevolent. It has a long history of questionable acts. The fact they are tracking this kid doesn't make them right and him wrong. It just seems like it's typical post-9/11, federal law-enforcenment procedure. Patriot Act at it's best/worst.wingFeather wrote:If he's doing nothing wrong, then the FBI wouldn't be tracking him.
Wait...aren't you the same guy who pisses and moans about how government is a corrupt entity and will take our freedoms away at the drop of a hat if anyone with any liberal viewpoint is even allowed near the DC Metro area?wingFeather wrote:Yeah... I'm sure your opinions of government are balanced
Haha, point taken! However, my name is based on irony, considering I live in a dry town beseiged with archaic blue laws and a summer full of Class 1 renta-cops who masturbate to images of Blackhawk tactical gear. My opinion of government and law enforcement is based on most of my family and friends being employed by various state and federal law agencies, and a degree in Poli Sci. I try to think my opinions are balanced, but stories like this really make it difficult...wingFeather wrote:Some guy with "anarchy" in his name. Yeah... No, I bet if this happened to any of us we'd be like, "Officer, I think you accidentally placed this on my car. Here, I removed it and polished it for you!"LocAL_anarchy wrote: But I think we all agree his reaction is strange. He seemed too calm about it all, almost amused. I'm pretty sure if this happened to any of us, we would have raised hell. Especially if the FBI showed up at out house to threaten and intimidate for the return of the device. I would have been on the phone calling an attorney and every news station I could.
edit: too slow as well!
