Anyone have it or use to?

Seems Nationwide tried to go though Hargerty for mine and they require any '90s car to have a $10k value. Would cut my insurance in half on the Vert if I could get it.

Wonder if there are any other companies that would do it.

You can go directly to Hagerty. I have a friend who did that with his hatchback after he finished putting it together. When I worked for OneBeacon Insurance, we were underwriting for Hagerty, and I was under the impression that an adjuster had to appraise a car for it to qualify. But Josh said he was able to set his value to whatever he deemed necessary. He ended up valuing the car for around 19k IIRC. I'll call him up and ask him who exactly he went through and we'll see what we can do for you.

Believe I can set mine at $10k, just not sure what issues I may run into with that. Set at $10k my insurance on the Vert would be $300 a year. Currently about $625.

He said he never finished the deal with Hagerty. He didn't have a daily driver, and that's part of their deal. He did say he did a lot of the initial rate findings on their website.

They do not require an appraisal, so you can just claim your Vert is worth $10k and apparently pay for that coverage.

They do require pictures, which I'm taking tonight and sending in to apply for the coverage.

Cool. Let me know how it goes. I've been tempted to swap to Hagerty's for a while now

Mine is going through Nationwide, as that's what currently all 3 cars and house are under, not sure if that is more/less expensive than going through others or even if you can go directly to Hagerty.

Chad - You need to deal with them directly. Trust me on this one.

I had my vert w// Hagerty from Day One. I still have 7 cars on Hagerty policies.

I carry policies with LibMu for my daily drivers, and it's cheaper to have them separate. Nationwide is simply getting a policy issued, adding 10-20% on top, and you're paying that bill.

With my multi car and house discounts it's probably even. Will still save me 50% on the Vert even through Nationwide that's good enough for me.

Finally done. Today they argued about the $10,000 value. Agreed to $5000 which is what I wanted in the first place. That puts it down to $182 a year for coverage
