So guess what.. im turbo'ing the KA.. i've got everything all picked out but im stuck on something.. what are ''colder spark plugs'' and where do I find them? Thanks everyone, drift on!

You go up one step colder every 75-100hp more then stock,Check sparkplugs.com they will have them,You can tell the heat range by the part#,Like on my sr20 the stock plugs are NGK PFR6B-9 and the colder plug would be PFR7B-9.So as you can see the 6 and the 7 are the heat range the higher you go the colder the plug.

Colder spark plugs... used for turbo or nitous applications.Thats a very complicated subject for me to explain cause im not expert in that subject but here is what they are... For the ka motor , most of us use NKG plugsBKR5E-11 StockBKR6E-11 Cold For once u go turbo up to say ~250 whp BKR7E-11 Colder For once u go past ~250 whp..

Everyone has their own preferences on when they change to colder plugs..

Check the bold, u got that wrong. It should be the COLDER plug

i could be wrong , but cold spark plugs burn fuel faster

we run colder plugs due to the gap that we run and also due to the turbo/nitrous application
