I live in MI where temp easily goes below 30 alot and my 240 never had any problem starting or running in cold weather...

My transmission fluid however would be all hard in really cold weather tho but few minutes of running took care of that

If you have anti-freeze in the water jackets (or nothing at all yet), then everything should be golden. Don't wait forever though. You don't want moisture to collect inside and rust the uncoated parts. Running even once puts a nice layer on everything, protecting the inside from condensation damage.

I was worried about the same thing, since my freshly built motor has been sitting in the engine bay for almost 3 months now without starting it. I called my machine guy and he said that there isnt all that much to worry about, since all of the moving parts are coated with assembly lube/grease. He did tell me that I shouldnt let it sit "forever" though, even though a few months really shouldnt be a big deal.
