Noticed this the past couple days as the temperatures around here have dropped to around -30C where I live just outside of Calgary, and I don't have a garage to park my 08 in. Went to grab something out of the passenger side last night after the car had been sitting for pretty much all day (since about noon), opened the door fine, but when I went to close it it didn't want to catch. Trying to close it mostly then just push on it didn't get it to catch either. If you really slam it it did close properly. Same thing happened again on the driver door this morning, got in and started to drive away, and the door indicator came on and I noticed that the door was still open a bit. The door does seem to be closed enough that it wouldn't pop open, but it is a bit worrying.

I'm booked in for a service tomorrow so I'm going to ask at the dealership about this, but has anyone else seen this happen?

I've had issues trying to open the door when it's below freezing outside, like it gets stuck and I have to budge harder to open. When I close the door, it seems to close fine, I haven't had problems with it not closing completely.

It's been pretty cold here in Denver, it snowed this morning and tapered off. It's suppose to be -9 F tonight. Monday is going to be sunny, around 10 F.

Use some WD40 that is what I use. Spray some on a rag and wipe it around the weather strip and spray it in the latch and key hole. It seems to work for me on all my cars.
