clean 90 TT 5 speed RHD, stock everything except JWT intake and chip from AlgoProject? anyways when im accelerating moderatley while cold i get a hesitation/ miss not bad but definitley noticable. goes away as soon as temp needle touches the bottom of the line on the gauge. then everythings mint. i have new proper 11b plugs, updated ptu, set TPS, thats helped about 30%...want it running mint as possible before i start building it more

Have you checked for codes yet? Could be something dumb like a coolant temp sensor or fuel temp sensor

O2 sensors have an issue like that if the heating element is going out. Check out codes like Jr said.

RHD still have the same issues as LHD, maybe the driver side one is mad and giving you an attitude. Let us know the codes.

got code 34 for the knock sensor, so im a bit hurt that i need to pull the timing apart and plenum to put a new knock sensor in...oh well such is life.

i also am only running on 5 cylinders after i pulled the code. im gonna buy a beater for 1000 bucks until i can get my lady in red back to 100 percent. if im going to pull the engine apart that far then its getting some serious love while im in there

so theres that, what are your guys thoughts?

Even though it fixed itself, that's still pretty strange and I would still replace the knock sensor at the very least. You don't have to tear the engine apart if you really don't want to. Basically you just unplug the knock sensor (KS) subharness from the main harness and just leave it there along with the stock knock sensor, just let them be. Then get a new KS (~40 for OEM one on ebay) and a new upgraded subharness from Z1 ($20ish?) along with a longer 12mm bolt. Then just mount the new KS on top of the plenum in the back and plug in the new harness.

Here's a better how-to:

Knock Sensor Relocation how-to

The one I described is the 3rd option on that page. This is how I did mine and haven't had any issues with it since.

my lady in red is going away for the season so, iv got some time to do some motor work.

doing the 120 k timing kit, pulling the plenum again, might put in some fresh injectors, definitley a new knock sensor and lots of cleaning, probably a new harness from wiring specialties if they do RHD ones even, new socketed ecu and some 2.5 exhaust from downpipes back...
