i've owned my 240 since Aug this year and it always started up just fine. ever since the temp dropped bellow 40, starting the car sux. I need to crank it twice for like about 5 secs and it starts on the second try with some gasing. if i dont rev it at 2000 for a couple of secs, the rpms will drop to zero right away and the car will die.anyone have any ideas how to survive this winter?1996 240sx175k milesBase

My s14 does crank a bit slower when its cold out side... when I say cold I mean -3F cold... but it does start.

Try putting that isoheet thing thats supposed to prevent condensation in your fuel line that cuases fuel line to freeze...

new ngk spark plugs, bat/start/charge system test, fuel injector cleaner

thats my standard approach to cold weather starting problems. nissan even has a bulletin out for it since brand new cars are flooding in cold weather.

if somthing like the coolant temp sensor was not reading right, that will multiply the problems in cold weather

ouch, bosch plugs? are they the green bosch super plugs? or are they bosch platinums? either way they suck. trust me, im not talking trash. i have seen bosch platinums make cars run horrible. get some cheap ngk copper plugs. i prefer ngk copper plugs over any other plug including platinum, iridium, etc. even in my turbo sr20. the bosch wires may be ok i dont knot. i have never dealt with them.

I vouch for chris...

Bosch plugs do suck major a$$... I had bosch plugs in my car for half a year and after that they were all shot and my car just stalled on me all the time...
