my car keeps flooding when its cold outside so I thinking I need to new sensor I see they are pretty cheap, but Im having a hard time finding the location on the motor for the sensor so input would be great. also if anyone else has any Ideas what I can do to fix this problem. after I deFlood the car it runs fine until the next morning. the car has always had problems starting on the first start of the day but now that the temp is colder in the moring Im getting the flooding problem.

It's the gray funny looking device around the area of the throttle body. It has a black-square connector and has a 5/8 size hose attached to each end of it. That is about as close as I can get to a description of the ughly thing,

Run a diagnostic check on your ecu to see if it is storing trouble codes. If it is indeed your coolant temperature sensor it would be code 13. A malfunctioning coolant temp sensor would cause the car to run erratic as well as causing a flooding condition which creates a hard start condition. You mentioned start sensor which should be called the cold start solenoid or AIV valve that's why I responded with the mentioning of said part. Get the codes off the ecu and let us know.
