Cold start question

Ok... I just came across a thread w here someone said they idle low (600) during a cold start and then the rpm increases to the normal level (750).... my car is at 1200-1300 on a cold start and then DROPS down to the normal level when it is warm... is something messed up? Is the idle supposed to warm DOWN or warm UP? Mine warms DOWN to operating levels but I've come across people say where their car idles low when cold and higher when normal.

during a cold start the car is SUPPOSED to idle high (11-1300 on most cars) then idle down once the engine reaches operating temp. i think the post you were reading was someone trying to fix their cold start.
