Cold Start Problems

This problem really doesnt bother me much but I cant figure out what is causing it.

Background info:

I made a custom air intake system, battery was moved to the trunk, intake filter and MAF now reside where the battery used to be. It goes filter then MAF then 90 degree short pipe then throttle body. All hoses are still connected, even the IAT sensor.

Everytime i start the car cold, it idles at 500 and wants to stall. After 20 seconds or so idle returns to normal and car warms up like normal. Any ideas whats going on?

check the connection to the IACV. it usually kicks on when the engine starts until it warms up. if the connection looks good, touch 12 volts to the wire with the engine off and listen for a click. if that's all good then I guess start looking elsewhere.
