Sorry for the long description, but I'm at a total loss for ideas.
My car (s14) has been misfiring SLIGHTLY for about two weeks, mostly when under high compression (heavy acceleration). Not thinkng much of it and planning to fix it this past weekend, I let it slide. I assumed it would be a simple fix. In my mind, misfire usually means bad ignition of bad fuel delivery. Now, normally it's as simple as plugs, wires, or distributor cap/rotor. Well, before I had a chance to fix the problem, this last week it decides it doesn't want to start in the mornings. It will turn and turn and turn, but not fire up. It literally takes about five minutes of turning before it will start up. It only does it when cold, but still misfires when running. So, I replace all the parts I just mentioned. All the easy ignition components AND the battery are brand new. The starter is less than a year old. The only options left (as far as I can think of) are the distributor itself, or the fuel pump. I've never had a fuel pump go bad on any of my vehicles so I'm not entirely familiar with the symptoms. It also seems to lack power even when it's not misfiring. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.
