i just got my ca swap in my s13 running last week, but there is a little problem. when the engine is cold and i start it, it runs like crap, liek i have to pump the gas pedal to get it to stay running until the engine is all the way up to operating temp. after that, it runs fine boosts great and idles awesome. could it be something with the iacv? or is there a thermal valve for the idle like there is on a (dare i say it) honda?

any help is very appreciated, and thanks in advance!!!

Very similar, almost identical setup as with a Honda. There is a thermaly actuated valve located under the throttle body. They like to foul up. Could also be serious vac leak, timing, bad plugs, bad grounds, bad CAS. But I lay odds on the air regulator/IACV.

There ya go man. Glad to help. If you ever need to actually replace it, buy one for a B13 Sentra SE-R with an SR20DE. Like $75 online or at the parts store and you are golden.
