well got the motor and put it on the stand then emptied the oil pan. pure water poured out for a good 2 minutes straight. Seems like it had just about 5 gallons of water and oil and rust mixed. Looked nasty. I have the video i'm posting tonight and pics. Also, had compression did not read well from 1-4. I turned it by hand and it was about 30-45 psi with a few rotations of the hand. It has compression cause i can hear the air pump out of all the other cylinders. 5-6 had 90-100 psi.

I'm thinking it's already bad and i'm not too happy with the results. Tonight i'm gonna go back and put some oil in the cylinders to see if it helps at all.

Any idea's of what i should do? should i send it back?

is there any way for you to get a starter on it? hand cranking for compression usually dosent yeild reliable results.

doing a leakdown test would be a much better gauge if you cant get a starter on it.

oil and water mixed in the pan? that doesn't sound good at all. blown headgasket? either way you probably need to tear down the motor at this point. water/coolant can corrode bearings too..

So we concluded that this engine was either in a damn TSUNAMI or Some drunk japanese guy with a bad a$$ NISSAN STAGEA put in in a river somewhere. Thats the only way 4 1/2 gallons of water, oil, sludge, rust. Would pour out of that engine. These cars were produced from 96-99 with the rb25det motor awd. Soo it must not have been sitting that long. I think i just got boned hard core. But it comes with a 30 day warranty. lol. what bs. It seems that i am just gonna try to rebuild this one or at least steal the head and transition it over to my old motor. Just get it all running again and it's up for grabs. I can't tell you how f-"ed this has been for me soo i'm done. I keep getting the shaft with these motors. sr20det would have probably kept me out of trouble soo far.

So we pulled the head off tonight. Found that there was some major sludge between the valve seats and valve. I cleaned if all up and we cleaned up the block. Looks like it was honed already. Valves look great. Cylinders and rings look great as well. Besides all of the water that came out i'm actually glad that it wasn't that bad. The crank and cradle and rod/main bearings look in good condiiton. The water jackets are in great shape and i have to clean the oil ports. Soo far soo good. I'll post videos and pics later on in the week.
