Well the title of the thread is pretty much self explanitory... I took a look at some old archived threads but I'm still not sure i'm satisfied with the answers...The motor bogs around 3000rpms especially on a cold start-up. I just got the car and I havent check the plugs yet and I was "told" they had just been replaced. Anyways, my last 240 did this too but I blew it up before I could fix it (no worrys, it was a totalled car i got for a few hundred .

The one thing that really worries me is the fact that I'm running rich. I havnt dealt with it yet so I'm kinda at a loss. I'm not sure where to start.

Just little info, its an s13 and the intake is all kinds of ghetto rigged at this point (soon to be fixed!! but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with anything or not).. Thanks,Katie

welcome to nico.

the main causes of running rich are maf and coolant temp sensor. i would start with the wiggle test on the wiring harness and give a few good taps to the components i mentioned. also, refer back to the sticky on drivability problems. let me know what happens and we will go from there.

Well nothing seems to be any different, so I am up for more ideas....

Plus I have a new, very odd question... When I'm in high rpms, like when I am racing or drifting, the car will jolt and become unresponsive to any kind of throttle. It acts as if I had pushed the clutch in and let off the gas completly with the accelorator still to the floor. Any ideas?? This one just blows my mind!!

so, its idling? or just has no power?if it has no power then it could be related to your running rich problem. if at all possible i would reccomend you monitor maf voltage while its messing up. if you have access to a scan tool i would have a look at ign timing while acting up as well.
