Hello again.I am sure this Question may have been posted b4.. bear w/ me veterans..Im looking to update the air intake... just like a K&N kit.. not just the square filter... anyone know where i can find this and at what cost?..

2nd..Once i turn on cruise the icc automatically comes on.. I adjust the sensor distance .. and it has 3 different distances... i click through it but there is nothing to turn it "off" so i can just use the cruise control like normal..Maybe im dazed and confused.. but how do I turn "OFF" the ICC..I thought it was automatically off until you hit the icc button (one w/ the car on it).. Thanks guys..Haggis

1.) There are many ways to degrade the OEM CAI without giving your money to Stillen, K&N, etc.

2.) What does your OM say?

The 4.5 motor is pretty tweaked from the factory. There are not many (if any) reasonably priced bolt-ons that improve the performance on this particular car.

there were not enough cars made to justify the R&D to produce enough gain to mass produce aftermarket stuff.

Also, there is a mixed opinion on this forum that the oil from the K&N is actually not good for the Mass Air Sensor.

I dont have the ICC, thought it was an 03 upgrade....so cant help yuo there.maybe someone who has that feature will rteply

I saw this on the M side and said hold the ICC botton for about 1.5 sec /or until the light goes off and it should shut the ICC off and run as a regular CC.

I don't see any benefit from a CAI sucking hot air from the radiator. I would keep the RAM air intake that is stock. Although I have been using K&N on my 02 Maxima for about 50k miles and have no problems but I use OE air filter on my F50.

Yep. There's a good reason why auto makers go to the trouble and expense of putting cold air induction on most of their engines.

As a very rough rule of thumb, every 10 degree drop in air intake temperature is good for a several percent increase in horsepower. When you consider that underhood temperatures can 30-70 degrees hotter than ambient air, it's easy to see how drawing in cool outside air can produce significant horsepower gains - not only at full-throttle, but under everyday driving conditions as well.

Pay attention to those advertisements and you will realize all tehy talk about is "feelings" and "sounds." No defininitive claims for which they could be held legally accountable.

Same with "dyno runs" claiming more horsepower. No air resisitance and the hood is almost always up, like you could really drive the car that way.
