Hey guys, so I'm looking to improve the acoustics of my AC further, and I was wondering whether or not getting a cold-air intake will do that for me? I already have a stillen catback (which I really like as it makes a nice clean sound that is miles better than stock :) )

For anyone who has a cold air intake and a catback on their AC (note: I have a 2.5) did you guys notice a considerable upgrade in the sound department of your cars?

Moving to the Altima Coupe forums - you'll get your answer faster. I also recommend searching the Altima Coupe forum for some previous experience in that department as well.

I have the Stillen catback too and the DC Sports Short Ram. The intake made the "sound department" much much better. I highly recommend getting one. I cheaped out and bought one that wasn't expensive, but who cares they all work the same and it's been a year no problems

If you are looking just for sound and looks most people go for the injen intake. I currently have a K&N intake but you need to rev at moderate rpms to actually hear it 3500+. Performance wise all intakes are the same at least for the 2.5 you will not see much of a gain with out a tune since the factory ecu governs the fuel injected. Hope that helped a little.

I have a K&N and do notice an improvement in sound but not much. I think the stillen Headers helped more but I'm not too sure because I installed them with my exhaust.

technically there are no true cold air intakes for our cars. they are all short ram. as far as sound goes i have the injen it it has a nice growl to it. i haven't heard any other intake setup in person though. i honestly don't think there'll be that much of a difference between different brands

I have an Injen intake and I'm quite pleased with it -car sounds much nicer at higher RPMs. Been meaning to get a video up for a while but have not yet. One day...

Oh wow, I had no idea. I'll search up the injen intake that everybody seems to be talking about. Thanks again everyone, really appreciate it.
