Hi,

The turbo on my car is right next to the driver's side wheel well. (My car isn't a Nissan, but I have a CA in it.) I was thinking about cutting a hole in the upper wheel well and putting the air filter there, since it's pretty cramped in my engine bay and it can get pretty warm. Other than making sure I shield it a little to keep it from getting wet, are there any downsides to doing this?

I figure it's better to ask than to find out the hard way.

Thanks.

What happens when it rains and the tire starts flinging water at it?

I was going to put something behind it and below it but leave the front part open. But I don't drive in the rain. My car has no top. :)
