the jc whitney site says that it includes a heat sheild. The injen intakes that we purchased included a heat shield. So you way want to call and be sure before you pay more for the same thing. stillen (235) jc whitney (273)

dude, I think that's a generic picture... you have seen the inside of your engine bay right???? Where is that going to fit?

If you look, it says new part added 08/20/07.... the real Injen intakes didn't become availble until february 2008...

***correction, WAI were available lst year, but CAI weren't and still aren't available.. thanks for the correction Blake***

IN the future, do your research before you post stuff like this, because if it turms out to be incorrect, you may get

Come on Doc, give the guy some break. He found the intake from this site and wanted to share the news with fellow forum members, personally I don't see anything wrong with it.It is not like he made it up. If this site is legit or not, or if the intake is the correct one or not, how can anyone guarantee that?

Just my $0.02

Actually it is JC Whitney that made the mistake - if the product does not exist. That's called playing with peoples emotions.

It seems the location of the WAI for the Altima is pretty odd - towards the rear of the engine compartment. Is that the transmission below it?

Coupe or sedan, it doesn't matter. They are both have the same engine bay. What is more important is knowing if its 2.5 or 3.5

this is the thing, if i start a post saying.. "extreme dimensions is now selling a body kit for the A/C," and i reference an ad in a magazine, with a price listed... its still gonna come back to me if it turns out to be bogus... a little research and knowledge of the layout of one's own engine bay will show you that there is little to no room to put a cold air intake in the A/C.... there's just no room for the pipes! but more importantly, me knowing the layout of my engine bay, its clear to me from the picture that that intake doesn't fit the position of the throttle body of the A/C...

this is a car enthusiast's site right? I thought it was and maybe that's why I assumed everyone here has at least opened their hood and looked at their engine bay!

Dear Doc, I see your point but let's agree to disagree. This is in fact a car enthusiasts' site where we all come seeking car related knowledge, news, etc. However you have to take into account that since this is a public open forum, you will get all kind of people with diffrerent degree of experience and knowledge and all want to contribute (and this is a good thing):1. Newbies (me included) come here seeking to learn more about their cars and learning the ropes in the modding arena.2. Experts (you and Adidas comes to mind) that have been in the modding scene longer than us, come here to share your knowledge and learn some more.

Because of everyone's experience and knowledge background, our contributions to the forum will be different in level and relevance, but at the end of the day, we all want to help. Isn't this the purpose of forum like this one? Experts will share their knowledge with the newbies, and the newbies can share the good deals they find for our cars.

If not, then we would have to create other sub-forums like: a) Forum for Altima coupe experts and b)Forum for NewbiesDo we need that?

Sorry for the long rant...Peace and love
