I need help on how to make an inexpensive but efficient cold air intake. I got an estimate for one installed and it ran about $230, which is too much for me right now. by the way, i have a 1991 240sx. Please help on supplies and installation tips. thanks

Here goes

Go get a 3 in aluminum flexible dryer air duct from homedepot. Then, remove resonator air box infront of left front wheel; there would be 2 - 3 bolts. You need to open the left mud guard out before u can reach 1 of the bolt. Then, remove Y pipe so u can access the 2 in hole. Plug the air duct from the bottom up and use tie wraps to tie it to the 3 holes around the 2 in hole. Then, route the bottom of the air duct around and to the front of the AC condenser. Cut off the excess air duct and use some more tie wraps to keep it secure to the condenser. That's it.
