cold acceleration lag

I put a highflow intake on my 91 240SX XE and all is cool but when it got cold, i started having problems where the engine would give significant lag in the lower RPMs, then suddenly surge forward. This problem goes away once the engine has warmed up, so i think it has something to do with the MAF or something, and ideas?

I've got the same problem, but it only happens everyonce in a while...... listening in.
