(Venting anger)I come back from lunch to school, park where I usually do, and some ****er decides to pour coke down my drivers side door. Well I didn't notice until I got home so it was left baking in the sun. Just got finished washing it IN THE RAIN and now I notice I have chips in my clear coat where the coke was. Jeez I thought school was a place where you could safely park your car...(/End Venting)

Not where I live it isnt. You have a much better chance of parking it in a high crime area and have no one touch it than to park it at my old high school.

I'm cool with the sec. guards at my school, I'll tell them to keep a better eye on the lot tomorrow. My neighbor, (a sec. guard) will most likley do it. And yeah, I am gonna start asking around and beat that kids *.

at my old high school one day at lunch someone keyed (severly) all of the nice cars in the lot and punctured someone's tires. It was really bad. High schools are horrible places to have your car unless you want it to be killed! :(

not at my school, i guess its because 1/3 are rich pricks, 1/3 are hippies, and 1/3 are hippie rich pricks, so it works out pretty good as far as parking lot saftey. but on the other hand there are only like 30 people in the whole school that are into cars :(

IMO its retarded to do something to someones car, and really immature. I mean if they got somethin to say, say it to my face, not to my car.

only problem is if you park it far away, less people will be around to watch it be torn apart. I always parked right in front, in plain view of anyone walking by. Admittedly, this is because it was less of a walk to class rooms, and I did drive a minivan. When all those cars were wasted though, it was the ones in the back where nobody could see it happen...

School parking sucks. My car was stolen last Sept on campus while I was in class. A few weeks ago, I saw a guy who had his CBR stolen, and he was parked right in the front next to the handicap parking.

(venting) SO damn pissed. Whoever stole my EG, I hope you choke on it! SO many nicer car in the lot, you had to take mine! Made my life a living hell. (end venting)

Yeah your situation is worse than mine...by like 100x. I can always get my car repainted...but you probably won't ever get your car back. Sorry bro.

I park in the front parking lot, where only teachers are supposed to park, becuase I dont' have a parking permit for the back lot.

last month some people set off some bomb or something in one of my school's stairwells. it was like sulfuric acid and aluminum or something. crappy school cameras couldn't get a plate though. they posted the camera pics around school, all you can see is a black suburban and some rough, dark, humanoid looking figures around it. crappy cameras...

day i graduated high school, i got some new rockford fosgate 12" subs, drove home, and installed em. then i drove to school (20 minutes) to graduate. then afterwards we all took a trip to this other city to go to the arcades and stuff like that and had a good time all night long. then we came back to the school like 6 am and i discovered my new subs, my deck, and all my cds were stolen. like $1000 worth of stuff. i got 20 minutes of enjoyment out of my subs

Wow that sucks...I went to a relatively nice school but my coaches MKIII Supra (not even a turbo) was stolen from the parking lot one day and windows were always getting broken and cars keyed...moral of the story: high school sucks, stop going :)

only Seniors are allowed to park in the lot at school, so it's a little safer, I guess. I've never had anything bad happen other than the fact that my spot is under a light pole, and I came out to a white car one day (NO JOKE!!) if you read in my sig, I own a black car, damn seagulls...grrrrrrrr...

Do you happen to have physical damage coverage on your car? If the damage to your paint is severe (cola is VERY acidic), you might want to call your insurance agent and ask him for his advice. You *may* want to put in a claim for this.

hmm....that thought never came to mind. I'll have to check it up with the 'rents to see if they put physical damage coverage on my car...which I doubt. Thanks for the idea.

Vandalism is covered under Comprehensive or "Other Than Collision" (same thing, different names). Of course, if you have the coverage but a high deductable, it's probably not worth putting the claim in. If your parents have an insurance agent (as opposed to dealing directly with the company), they can ask the agent if he recommends putting in the claim. He can tell you if there would be any adverse effects (higher rates perhaps) if you put in the claim.

Good luck. I hate when stuff happens to my car. It's by no means perfect, but I'm extremely protective of it.

yes john, we are talking about coal and the coking thereof. this coke is then used to make steel and where smokeless fires are required.
