1991 Infiniti Q45Base Model (But still nice for a "Base" model )

What is the purpose of the 2 wires that run to the release button on the coilpack connector? (At the coil of course)

(Not the 3 main wires inside the connector)

I checked the ECCS Wiring diagram in my '91 FSM and elwesso's '94 FSM, and they are not listed with the injectors in either.

Well I traced the wires back to the 2 pin connector that sits on the ignitor.

On my Q45 those particular plugs are not connected to anything, so I'm just going to completely eliminate them from the harness.

Wes- I don't think its an extra ground since it doesn't connect to the ground wires at all.

Jesda- Maybe. But what would it test? To see if the harness is still connected to the coilpacks?

Any ideas as to why the odd cylinder coilpack harness has an inline resistor and the even cyl. harness doesn't?

(Gray ,rectangular shaped casing. Has a "2.2K Ohm/omega , 9Y20 written on the end of it.)
