Springs are cheap, non-tunable and easy to install.

Coilovers are expensive, highly tunable, and still easy to install.

You don't need such levels of adjustability for a commuter car.

This idea that you can tune your car.. raise it and lower it as you see fit.. your bubble will be burst the minute you understand that your car will need a $69.95(varies, but not by much) four wheel alignment every time you rotate those cute little anodized collars. Forget the idea that you can reset it to how it was, by eyeballing it.

Another thought...suppose you buy some Tein HE's. Everything goes well until you hit a few monster potholes. Somehow, you manage to blow one of your coilovers.

You have to send 'em back to Tein to repair 'em...potentially lots of downtime.

Now, if your car isn't seeing track time, you can certainly go with plain old lowering springs. If you blow one of your KYB AGX's or GR2's, you can get another one shipped to your house within a few days. Alot less downtime.

Just one man's opinion.

Any time you change ride height, you should get an alignment.

i would get coilovers if my buget lets me, because it just give me more options on my car.

And more options are good. kind of like choosing between girls.Do you want one that can't adjust to you needs

or

Do you want one that can satify your desires.:cuddle

id get some tein basics. they are pretty closely priced to a set of s techs/agx's. they also allow you to adjust ride height, which is very nice. i just installed mine and i absolutely love them. they are so much better than i expected.
