im still new to all this, but is the only difference that the coilovers are adjustable while if you get a shock strut combo you will be stuck on one stiffness and height? i dont really see myself slightly adjusting the suspension, and for most of you, once you find your desired stiffness, dont you just leave it at that setting? im asking because coilovers cost a whole lot and if id be fine with a constantly stiff suspension id go that route. thanx

You replying to everybodys thread telling them to search is about as annoying as people asking the same questions over and over.

Anyways, coilovers offer more than 'adjustability'. They offer extremely higher spring rates in most occasions, and no, most with coilovers adjust theirs. Daily driving is nearly impossible on highest settings, so these are usually relaxed, so you dont leave your car every morning feeling like you just got off a 1940s wooden roller coaster

I thought that was what the search button was for, so we do not cover the same topic over and over. I linked the search results because I could not give him a direct answer. Sorry for trying to help out a fellow member and get him in the general direction for what he was looking for.

i thought that was what the forum was for, asking specific questions. i hate it when i search and can't find a specific answer so i post and some jackass tells me to search for it.

while I agree on most forums that the search option it's where most answers will be found, Nico's search engine sucks balls.

so basically a tight suspension will soon get on my nerves, thats why i shoudl get the coilovers because i can tighten it when i want to drive hard, but soften it for daily driving?
