So I recently acquired some Zeal Function B6 coilovers for my S13 coupe and I am about to finally get my car back from it's saga of body work and paint, this means it's almost time to do a ton of work(i've been stock piling). But before the Zeal's go on I have a couple of questions about them.

First off, I ordered replacement bushings and collars from Zeal for the rear bottom mounts and I forgot to ask them something(they are horrible to get a hold so i figured you guys would be a better option). The collars are a couple of millimeters larger in both outside and inside diameter on one end with a small lip on the outside of the other as shown below. (I took a picture showing the inside but it was way too blurry, so you know, it tapers down for about 3mm then is flat for about another 3mm) Does the orientation of this collar matter? The only thing I can come up with is that the bolt is tapered but I couldn't say for sure since I won't have my car for at least a few more days.

Also, they are all a very tight fit and the guy at Zeal said to just use a vice... do you think that will work or should i just take them to a machine shop?

Also, I noticed that on the top mount of the rear coils there is a bushing which I assume is the alternative to a pillow ball mount. The bottom rim of it is cracking, my gut tells me it is imperative that I fix it? Is that so? Is it easy to replace or does it require a trip to the machine shop? I certainly wouldn't think they would need to go to Zeal.Bottom part that is worn

Top part that is in great shape

Lastly, they told me to keep the threaded part of the shock body lubed and to use grease...does that make sense? I can understand wanting to avoid damage from threads binding or wtv but greased threads sound dangerous. I was planning on using Boeshield T-9 to clean off the rust and then applying there protective spray that is said to function as a lube too. What do you guys think?

Thanks,Fred
