I think it's because it's being shipped from the factory straight to his house without going through the middleman. factory is overseas i'm guessing

finally they are in. springs rates are 12k in the front and 11.5k in the rear. which isnt to bad considering the weight of the car too. also came with top mounts for some front camber

ALRIGHT! YEAH! we are eagerly (and I HIGHLY STRESS the EAGERLY part) for your review. best would be to give impressions over all kinds of roads not just perfect ones. if the comfort can be kept somewhat stock with the dampers on full soft then i'm sold ! and mega GB TIME!

I agree with the people above. A review would help many people out. I myself am waiting for BC racing or Tein's even though it will cost more and take a bit longer. Not in a hurry though.

I really like the color on those coilovers, they remind me of burple.

is it me looking at the picture wrong? Why are the rear springs wrapped in the strut assembly... doesn't these cars carry independent rear suspension?

Not just you, I mention it earlier in one of my post. The rear suspension doesn't look complete. Is he hiding them? Chinaman please chime in.

nope you were right loop. i was able to get the fron to fit and had it slammmed. but d2 sent me the wrong ones for the rear. i should of gotten the indepentent but they sent me the coil and strut all together. but i did take it for a drive to test out the fronts and they are pretty good. near to stock almost. so i gotta sent the rears back to em and get the right ones. keep on tuneing in i guess. i will keep you guys updated

I have been talking to BC Racing and from what I gathered is that the coilovers(BR Type) should be arriving soon(30-45 days.) The MSRP is $1250, which I am assuming should be around $900-1000 when purchased from an authorized dealer. They recently made coilovers for the 370z(BR and ER Type) and so far it's getting positive feedback. It seems to me that BC racing has up there quality from previous years. Plus 1 to that. I will be getting a set from them as soon as they have a production set. I will post my review upon getting. We are looking at possibly mid-April.

Good lookin out Loop.......

I just checked out their website and looked up their coilovers and damn the color scheme will match my car so I might go ahead and save up for them. Its also the first time I heard of BC Racing but if you say they got high up quality, I believe you. You got good taste. Good job man, you got like the best altima coupe out there so far.

I should thank the person who prototype them I had a few opportunities to prototype coilovers like JIC Magic, Tein, and Megan Racing but my car was never in stock form. Megan Racing and Tein both have prototype their coilovers so it is just a matter of time when they come out.

Of course there are more higher quality coilovers but you would need to pay some serious cash for those. IMO BC Racing are bang for your buck. You get really nice coilovers with quality in mind.

I just noticed on D2's website that the Maximas have the same part number as the Altimas. Anyone else find this weird?

EDIT: found this. Looks very close

It looks to me that the piston body is the same but the top hats are different. Not particularly shocking.

Also regarding the rear assembly... please discuss, but isn't a coilover exactly that?? - Coil spring over the strut assembly. What did you guys expect to see?

There are two different set up for the rear coilovers.

The rear suspension for our car is that the spring and shocks are separate so what chinaman got for his rear was wrong.

He should have got the strut and coil spring separately (independent setup).

No need to explain. Just look at windex's rear suspension picture compared to Chinaman's rear suspension picture. They are independent.

Nevermind. I looked up pictures and for these in particular, they are only "coilovers" in the sense that the word is the marketing term they are being described under. The spring is separate from the shock, but now its mounted on an adjustable threaded cylinder, hence why they market it as a coilover. They aren't actually coilovers by the traditional definition of a coilover where the spring and shock are combined into one package.
