Has anyone tried the Megan Racing coilovers for the M35X yet?

http://www.optionimports.com/inm305.html

There priced pretty good compared to all the others. A couple of my friends had them on other cars, but seeing if these are good for the m35?

make sure they will fit on the M35x. I have read some threads that the coilovers wont work on the x models.

I have JIC and they are wins! but I am not an X

Nicely explained non bias opinion there.

Care to elaborate on why they are china made crap? Even if made in china what makes them crap?

Considering these took a beating on my Q and was not designed for the weight yet I had NO problems.

Still sounds pretty biased to me.

I had a set of mookeeh coilovers years back. got t boned and the impact point was the front coilover and suspension. the coilover was bent and that's it.

still held fluid and functioned just bent. So you can believe what you want. but unless your paying like 5k+ for coilovers they are pretty much all the same.

So, if you get hit by another car, your cheap coilovers won't be usable anymore, but they'll still hold fluid! Great! What happens if you hit a pothole? What about 10 potholes? 100? It doesn't matter how your coilover takes a collision, what matters is how it responds and reacts to different surfaces on the road.

$5k? Yeah, maybe if you're buying some coils off one of Roger Penskes LMP2 cars. You can get an excellent set of coilovers for under $2k. And no, they are not all the same. You obviously have never driven a car with any other type of coilovers.

Collision statement was against the whole shafts snapping in half b/c they are "cheap coilovers" and yes i have had several different types of coilovers from 2k range down to 800 range. it's build and design. talk all you want but no point in arguing about performance suspension for vehicles that won't use it for such driving.

Haha that's true. I don't think you guys flog your cars too much .

But the problem with Megan/Godspeed coilovers is the build quality. s***ty welds, loose bolts and junk materials. When you throw 2 tons worth of car on them and then slam a set of cheap coils like that, you're not gonna have a great outcome. There a few S chassis guys that have had Megan or Godspeed coils last thousands of miles, but there a ton more guys who've needed to replace them after a few months of driving. And a lot of those are just daily driven cars that weigh less then 3000 lbs.

fair enough. I just don't by the whole biased opinion of coilovers due to word of mouth. mainly those people that piss me off.

But I picked up some tanabe sustec pro's and will see how those handle the weight. should be valved for a stiffer ride. maybe too stiff.

If I'm correct most coilovers are made for track not for comfort.I also agree on all coilovers are the same unless 5k+ is paid.I heard Godspeed is China crap and most people all love them.
