well i was stupid and started buying parts for every thing, i got burned on that k-sport so i now require a set of coilovers, currently my car is ridding on stock shocks and eibach sport-line springs, and i have the major parts required for a turbo kit, both the suspension and turbo are not complete.im torn on wich way to go. turbo would be nice, mild boost-5-7psi, or make my car handle first?? oh ya i have in route kazama collers, kazama rear lateral link, kazama rear upper arm, kazama rear toe arm, kazama super tie rod ends, kazama pillow tension rods, kazama tension support bar, tein tie rods. cusco front rear strut tower bars, cusco sway bars f&R. and some other stuff. i have just as many parts for a turbo with a t68, minus the manifold and dump pipe. which route would give me more joy??i planning on going to alot of track days over the next year, never tracked a RWD car before.

I would do some moderate suspension then turbo if you still feel up for it. Thats just my opinion.

Id go with coilovers 1st, I made a big mistake and regret it now by buying a turbo engine instead of coilovers to begin with...but its your decision

Definately coilovers before turbo, if I could go back and do it again I would have definately gone with coilovers.

Coilovers. Boost is nothing unless your car can handle. BTW Bomex, I saw your car at GTLive. Your car is hot.

I would go for coilovers because you don't know how old the stock struts are espically if its a s13 or 180 because more than likely the struts are over 10 years old so coilovers for handling and then turbo. =) just my two cents

I did a lot of suspension/chassis foundation stuff first (coilovers, brake upgrade, etc) then I did my motor swap. My opnion is that a good chassis deserves a good motor in that order.

It depends what your going to use it for. Road racing, auto-x, drag or freeway racer. Then the decision is easy.

coilovers first, but it depends what you want to do with the car. If you want to do autocross go coilovers, if you want to drag race get turbo. Also, don't forget the most fun and helpful thing you can get for a car, LSD. But you might already have one of those, you didn't mention any other mods so i'm not sure. All i can say is its the best money i've spent on a car.

i'd imagine if they are the stock struts, they would probably be the same age as the car....

ya i think im going with coilovers and LSD, i have a vlsd now, ok now, ats or nismo lsd, and coilovers i have it down to kei office xt alpha or tanabe pro dd, i know the kei office ones are 500 more but am i just paying for the name? oh ya car will be used mostly for auto-x/ long distance races, ie silverstone classic. no street racing, i ll be driving my truck most of the time so this car probly will see very little commute time

Turbo since I dont belive coilovers are amust for good handling.

My old S13 had Eibach springs, KYB Strus ( the non adj type) and Polyuretahne bushings everywhere (full kit including steering rack bushings). It handled awesome.

Too otfne I see folks with $1300 in coilovers and poor adjusted and terrible bounciness with degrades handling.

^i agree. all i have is Intrax springs and kyb struts and a lsd and my car handles great. and i autocross a lot. boosting my car was definetely the best thing ive done to my car. so if i were you, i would get some new struts and boost it!
