Alright so i have a s13 and have been doing a lot of thinking lately but cant seem to choose either suspension or engine performance. As of rite now i have a built KADE with everything else stock all around. When i first bought my car it was all about speed to me, so then i turbocharged it, blew the motor due to E-Mance ECU and then got the motor built. When my car was still turbocharged my suspension would suck A$$. My stock shocks are still good but it doesnt feel safe when i turn and go through bumps. Now my car is stock again i was thinking about going with looks but then my bro keeps on making me change my mind to go with motor work.

One of the reasons why i chose suspension over speed is because nowadays cops are on the look out for racers and i dont wanna lose my ride.

My question is, should i go with coilovers or should i turbocharge it?

My coilover option will be megan track coilovers. I know people say megan sucks but then so far i have heard good things about it, besides the bumpy ride.

If you were anywhere but CA, I'd say turbo.

Considering your previous turbo engines and their fate...I'd say go with the coilovers.

he's had one turbo motor.

will having a better suspension deter you from speeding and racing? the way i see it is, with better handling, you're going to be taking turns at higher rates of speed, because you can. a 240 is going to get profiled, a lowered 240, even more so. so if you're basing your decision on police attention alone, i say get a corolla.

No point having power if you cannot control it.

I would take a good handling car over one that just shoots in the straights.

go coilovers i personally would rather a car to handle with out body roll then have a fast car that feels like its going to roll over going around a turn.

bah, theres a s*** ton of muscle-car heads that have a s*** ton of fun being able to shoot down the straights and not being able to turn worth a s***. beleive me i know. PLUS, a stock 240 probably handles better than most cars anyway.

i've never driven a powerful 240 with stock suspension, but i would say a 240 with stock suspension would be able to put down the power better. Weight transfer toward the back is a big deal.

all in all doing the turbo with stock suspension might be safer when it comes down to putting down the power. but yes, coilovers will let u handle and brake better.

Are you saying that boosting it will change the weight transfer? or Having a turbo with stock suspension is safer? orStock suspension can handle power better than upgraded?

None of those make sense to me

Don't waste your money on a 240.

ya sorry about that. was too much in a hurry to make sense

to make it simple. i think a softer suspension is much more predictable. so might as well have fun and get a turbo.
