the motor is all stock and i plan to autocross the car... will lowering the car and putting on the coilovers cause stress or wear on other parts? should i buy other stuff to go with it?

What clubs were you planning on autocrossing with?

I'd suggest getting Konis, Ground Controls, and camber plates instead of Megan coilovers... unless your only desire is to lower the car till the frame scrapes the road. Other than that, it all depends on how seriously you want to get into racing (autocross/ time attack/ etc). If you're not going "stupid-low" then you don't really need adjustable arms/ etc.

Regardless, the next "mod" (unless it was your first) should be tires. Good tires will change the performance limits of your car more than anything.
