ok I have been asking around on various nissan forums about coilovers for my sentra 1.8S I have been told Ksport is good then I heard they sux, also I was looking into teins or Nismo. its so confusing no idea what to get I want to make this my first mod for 08 but im looking towards to rims instead but give me a honest opinion on whats good with coilovers. im just beating my head against a wall trying to figure out what make is good and about 10 million tell you every which way.

Any coilover that fits the Spec V will fit your car. The mounting locations are identical. I'd honestly go with anything made by Tein or HKS. If you want an easy shock/spring setup, go with the Nismo kit.

What do you want from this setup? Unless you're racing there's no need for a coilover and your ride will suffer significantly. If this is a DD, the NISMO kit is a decent option if you just want it a little lower and tighter. If you want some sort of middle-ground between the two, shoot for a Koni Yellow/Eibach Sportline (or similar spring) setup.

I don't know if you want coilovers....that might be a little hardcore for Daily driving. I'd suggest going with a aftermarket spring and strut combo like nametakennow said. I have KYB GR2's and TEIN S-tech springs and the car is lowered but not crazy low and it looks good imo w/o compromising the ride quality.

1.4 drop in the front and 1.2 in the rear.

I couldn't agree more. I have two friends I work with, the one friend Clay has a '95 240SX with the Nismo race coilovers, the other one, Matt, has a '91 240SX with the Nismo shock/spring kit. The coilovers are HARSH...but they do make the car look good.

well after thinking Im goin to get the Nismo S tune's I was looking at the drop on it in the Sentra brochure from the dealership and it isn't that bad of a drop I don't want' to go too low if I do that might as well get air ride suspension lol but I like it I know the guys on the Nj tuners forum suggested to me to get K sport's but I think the Nismo is the way to go for me!! Im going with my gut on this one I think it would be really nice

Nice thing about the Nismo kit is it's already pre-assembled. My buddy had a 1.8S special edition and popped it in his ride in about 10 minutes. HUGE difference.

I would NEVER go airbags for performance.

Why would you not suggest air bags? Do you have any experence with them?

They're for show. In hard cornering they tend to make a car float.

Every tech writeup I've ever seen on them has talked about that.
