Got my D2 Coils on. Took 3 hours. Wasn't really that hard to put them on. Here are some pictures of it. Didn't lower the back all the way yet cause I didn't roll the fenders yet.

Before and After:

Boards to get an alignment:
(come to find out, I couldn't get the alignment cause I was "TOO" low)

New Wheels and Coils:
(Varrstoens 18x9.5 +12 haven't gotten tires yet)

There is another problem I ran into, while driving, it is "REALLY" bumpy. I've ridden in a lot of slammed cars and mine is beyond uncomfortable. I was wondering if anybody knew why this was happening.

FOUND OUT WHY IT IS SOOOO BUMPY.... I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO TAKE OUT THE REAR SPRING. I FEEL STUPID....

Everyone's getting coils. And having issues.
Did you adjust the stiffness settings?

This is why I refuse to get coils. As sick as it looks, I don't want to sacrifice my airplane-like smooth ride for the "off-roading truck" comfort

I'm starting to develop a dislike for the slammed look.
Ride quality and noisy coils keep me from making the purchase.
Bet you ride smoooth in the 4x4 status and 350 wheeled AC, Mike.

Given how conservative the oem offset is, you could've dumped the rears without rubbing the fenders. Looks a little silly as-is to me...

Ok THAT I know looked pretty bad. The wheels are off until I buy thicker tires, powder coat the wheels and lower the car.

Haha! Damn..you slammed it hard in the front. No wonder the ride is bumpy. Sacrifice the ride for the look..

The Altima probably has the worst ride quality on coils out of any cars I can think of other than s13/s14s. It's just the Altima. And the lower you go of course, the worse it gets.

Yeah you can dump the rears and allow negative camber to do its thing.

Really? I did not know that. But I'm gonna try and adjust the dampering on it and maybe get some lower control arms. It might possibly help with the bumpyness.

It could be that its just not meant to be slammed to the ground.
I've noticed most of the 4th gen cars that are slammed on coils have issues driving at highway speeds due to the bumpyness.
Mostly from the rear kinda like a fishtail feeling

Why would you slam it like that on stocks? The whole point of being "low" is the stance. You're pretty much giving up ride comfort for nothing..I say raise it until you put on her new shoes and try to make it even on front/rear because right now it looks really off.

Regarding your harsh suspension - what is the rebound/compression adjusted to? My guess is that they're set to full-hard.

Yeah, thats what I'm gonna do. I haven't really set it to where I really want it yet. Im waiting to get my new shoes ready and get some camber bolts. THEN I will have it ready.

The fronts are just right. But me and my buddy completely forgot about the rear so I'm gonna have to check on that.

I agree! Raise it up until you put those nice Varrstoens on! :dblthumb:

Form < Function - My main reason for not slamming a car ever again. I favor the ride quality and convenience of a functional ride height.

Looks good though.
