Hey guys, just wanted you all to share your experiences after installing your coilovers. I installed my KTS coilovers about two months ago. It seems every week i'm greeted with a new rattle to track down. My 90 coupe just past the 100,000 mile mark last week so it's not in, what I consider, rattle trap territory yet.

I've already encoutered the top strut nut being loose and making the continuous knocking noise with every bump in the road. That was as easy as tightening the nut down of course.

The first month with them on I would get a little spring noise on my way to work, and coming home from work(after the car sat for hours IOW), like the springs didn't settle just right after I parked the car. I didn't really do anything to solve this problem, I just checked from time to time that the springs were on their perches and not canted off center. Which I knew I had installed them with a little preload so I wouldn't have to worry about them falling off anyways...haven't heard the "twang" noise in a while so I'm happy with that lol...

But now.....now I have a rattle that sounds like it's coming from the passenger side front either under the hood or under the car, I can't tell. Two weeks ago I had a similar rattle from the drivers side which I thought might have been exhaust, but before I could jack up the car and wiggle things around it dissappeared. The passenger side rattle is persistant though. It, however, is not always consistent with just any bump in the road, or even with certain kinds of bumps. It just randomly chooses what bumps and cornering loads to sound off at....I haven't got the car off the ground yet to check things out but I thought some of your guys' experiences might help me find the problem quicker!

Thanks!

i dont really have any big rattles, just little creaks that id expect with coilovers, my car has 92k btw

also, i get the twang from time to time, sometimes it does it every time i drive, sometimes it never does it, but ive been told its because of worn wheel bearings so im checking that next week when i have access to a lift
