I've recently become very interested in the idea of mating some Konis with adjustable coilover sleeves. Does anyone know if there is a difference between the Ground Control sleeves and the ones you see on ebay? (Of course I know better than to use the ebay springs). I 'd just chuck 'em and use the sleeves...

I have the G/C sleeves, and am happy with them. Don't know about the chepo ebay stuff (quality, fitment, uniformity, metal strength(Cheap pot metal/aluminum), and safety would all be concerns to me), I tend to shy away from that sort of thing. Also Check with Koni, they have started making sleeves as well. The best part is you can run narrower springs (2.125id I Think), or buy an adapter, and run the 2.5id springs. It gives you more choices in size and rates from different manufactures. If you can get the springs in the smaller size, they weight less, and as we all know, the less unsprung weight, the better.

Good luck.
