ok I have a 95 base model 240 and the stock suspension is shot to hell. I used to have MR coils on my s13 but inside clearance sucked with my rims. basically I was wondering whats the best coilovers for the money. as for money lets just say I got deep pockets. im planing on running 17x9 +9 all around. and im gonna be using this car for drift/drag. let me guys know what you think is good.

Wait, you tossed the MR coilovers because of wheel clearance issues? Pretty much any coilover you buy is going to have a very similar amount of clearance.

How deep? If it's like Pacific Ocean deep, I've got a great buy for you. http://www.bulletproofautomoti...=3680

But really, you should look into like the Silk Road RM's, Cusco, or even some Kei Office stuff. DriftFactory carries Kei Office and runs it on all their shop cars.

Yeah I would get some Kei's Office but my pockets are about as deep as a saucer plate!

I think he is saying he has 2 cars.

If you have deep pockets, wtf did you get MR coilovers??? Nothing wrong w/ MR coilovers, but ppl w/ money don't usually go to payless shoes if you get my drift.

Anyway, w/ a x9 +9, you will clear every coilover out there by a mile... at least by 10mm or so.

lets just say im no rich boy but im gonna be falling onto a money pit real soon. I was considering droping around 2k on coils unless I need more. I killed my s13 and sold the megans. I was lookin into silk roads before. I pretty much have come to the conclusion you get what you pay for. the megans barely had any inside clearance with my advans barely a 1/4 inch. then again they were also 17 x 7.5 +35. so basically what I gather is the wheel setup I plan on buyin I shouldnt have any coilover clearance issues.

oooh..I forgot about Zeal. Excellent choice. You know you're a baller if you've got some Zeals.

I own kts coilovers, and will admit that I don't really know anything about the design/quality/handling and ride comfort of others, but is it really ever worth it to pay over 2k for coilovers that will be street driven? Will the average driver even know or feel the difference? Im thinking no and no, but I could be wrong.

unless those pockets are deep enough to drop both subframes for rewelding and all the adjustable links available/bushings and still afford 5g coilovers then go for it.

but if not it's sort of a waste to dump a lot on just coilovers alone without the whole package. if on budget go with something 1k~ if you're willing to spend more for better stuff then 1700-2800~ theres like 50-100 companies out there that makes coilovers for the 240. but the problem is most of these have no reviews.

I agree. Don't spend all the cash in one place. 1200 bucks will get you some great coilovers, then you can also look at sways, strut bars, ruca's, tension rods, other adjustable linds, new tie rods/ends/sway bar bushings, etc.

I plan on having all adjustable links I wasnt gonna just get the coils and be done. who knows maybe ill drop say 1600 on coils and the rest in links I havent fully decided but if I want to be a high roller I will have the dough to do it. I also need t o put money into the engine, im basically building this car from the ground up ir should I say modding.

why mod a 240 if you got the money?...not much of a baller status driving around in a 240, no matter how much its modded.

I got money to mod a 240 I dont got money to go buy a new bmw or a porsche. besides I like my 240. and spending money to mod a car would be a lot cheaper than buying a high end sports car.
