Coilover Rebuild

is it true you can get coilovers rebuilt at motorcycles shops? if so would they need special parts to do it? I found a deal on coilovers bout one of them is blown, so that would be great if motorcycle shops can rebuild them thanks guys

If you can get a rebuild kit from Kei Office, or what's left of Kei Office, you could do the rebuild yourself if you had the right tools.

Dampers rarely use universal parts. If you can get a rebuild kit, a shop could do it for you. If you can't, it's just a matter of how many of the seals and valves can be replaced with off-the-shelf parts.

Im not sure where you could in the USA, but if you could get in contact with the Kei Office's parent company (Kei Office apparently went under) they may be able to steer you in the direction of any surplus stock they have, that didn't sell before the company went under.

I talked to a motorcycle race shop today, I am looking at getting Kei Office coilovers rebuilt as well, and they said that if they are rebuildable (which they are) that they should be able to do it. They told me to bring them in for a peak. I will try to keep you posted.

i heard you can send kei office coils to silkroad and the'll rebuild them for you. you'd have to call to make sure.
