right now my 91 hatch has KYB GR-2's with some 17's (205/40/17 tires)

my problem is that my car looks like its going offroading. its so damn high in the back. (ill post pictures)

i read a lot of the coilover threads and i'm thinking that im going to need some coilovers myself.

i doubt im going to be doing a lot of autox or drifting but when i do, i need something good. its gonna be mostly for daily driving however i dont care too much about the comfortable ride. just want something under $1500, maybe even under $1000.

what do you guys recommend???

i dont have any experience with these, but no camber plates, so +$150 if you slam your car....if your lookin at more budget minded coils, go megan, $850(i think) and good quality from what i hear, and being that you dont care about ride quality get the tracks 12k-10k springs

yellows aren't expensive.

Probably a grand for shocks and the sleeves, with springs? And if wants to lower too much, he is going to need either Camber plates or crash bolts/camber bolts for the front and adjustable control arms for the rear.

Ahhhh.... I see. Some yellow's would cost that much, w/o the sleeve's. I am with ya now.

If price is the main concern, it would be hard to beat that price.

haha anything under a grand would be good.

ride quality i dont really care about. i wont be takin it to the track for autox or drifting but if i wanna mess around with my friends, ill need something that wont be garbage.

i still gotta take a picture of my car so you can see how high its sittin

You could just put some lower springs on, or get the G/C sleeves for the KYB's. Are they adjustable shocks? IDK.

your wheels and tires are way too small and probably a gross nasty high offset...

theyre 205/40/17 once i get it lowered it will look better.

im not sure if they are adjustable. however with the back all the way down it still looks bad (my fat friends sat on the back)

I think what ashibah83 was saying is the overall diameter of the tire is WAY to small. Just out of curiosity, how far off is your spedo???? And how much gap do you have there? 6 - 8 inches? I would hazard to guess that if you lower the car enough to get the wheel gap to look good, your geometry and alignment is going to be completely FUBAR'D (and that the car will handle and ride like shat, and probably will be riding on the bump stops). I predict adjustable control arms and camber plates, along with lots of new tires in the future for you.

How tall is that tire compared to the OEM sized tire? It just looks wrong.

i actually got the car with some 15 inch 300zx rims. the 300zx rims with tires are only a litte bigger than the 17's. maybe its just the low angle i took the pic at. ill measure it maybe tonight

Here is what mine looked like with stock wheel's, 205/something 15's Koni yellows, and I think the stock sprins. I will see if I can find one with the S.tech springs.

you sir need a larger tire, i run 215/45/17's and mine look WAY bigger than your 205's, i have a pretty good stretch too, but to get rid of that much fender gap ur gonna need adjustable arms and camber plates to have ANY driveability at all

im running stance gr+'s and battle version arms(all), so that about $2000 right there

p.s. sorry im whoring
