So, basically, I am trying out a set of coilovers that go for $430 shipped. They look nice and all but fit like s***!

Yes, I know I get what I pay for, I am doing this for research, so I can inform others on how they ride and install. Problem is I can't even install them yet!

The bottom bracket where the two bolts go through is unable to slide over the Spindle. They made it 1/8th of an inch too close together! Damn chinese can't measure! Any ideas on how to open it up by 1/8"? I tried a vise and pry bar, but it's too thick, and the welds are actually very strong.

Thanks,
Michael

Does the seller accept returns? Did you buy them locally or online...

It was EMUSA, stay away unless you can fix them yourself!

Buy a spare set of spindals, and have them milled down? Will cost about 250 bucks or so

You obviously didn't try very hard to bend them. Get some leverage on it, the strength of the weld won't have anything to do with it bending..

2 vice grips, one on each side. Jack handles on both vice grips, pull in opposite directions.

If that doesn't bend it then i'd like you to cut off a piece. Send me the dimensions and the weight.
