Install a set of Tein coilover on s14. I am feeling every single bump on the road. It feels like i am hopping over the bumps. Is that normal for coilover. I adjusted the dampening but its not helping. Any suggestions ..

thanks

are you running a tire with a thin tire wall? coilovers are rough at any setting and with a thin tire wall you feel those bumps more.

fairly normal for coils. Also if they're adjustable, try softening them as well if you're complaining about the stiffy.

what kind of teins did you get?

or more importantly, what are the spring rates, eh?

If the shocks have a compression adjustment, soften the compression. This lets the shock move up with much less resistance. Therefore, the wheels can follow the bumps without bouncing over them.

If the shocks are not compression adjustable and are only rebound adjustable, there's not much you can do. Softening the rebound will help a little bit but not too much. Good luck.

putting 17s with low profile tires will only make it more harsh.
