Just because they're non-adjustable doens't make them not coilovers....atleast to me.

They're specifically mated springs/struts sold as an assembly. Doesn't mean I'd suggest them over other setups for the money...

I would define coilovers as having threaded shock bodies with colllars. Otherwise, you might as well call the stock setup coilovers, because they are specifically mated.

yeah the s-tunes are a mated spring shock setup designed for each other, like how a coilover is valved for the accompanying spring rates

id compare the s-tunes more to those setups when people get koni yellows specifically dampened for a spring like the rs*r race

Thats twice you have suggested Tein coilovers. Do you even know what you are getting? Unless you have shock dyno info from Tein, of which I've seen on a number of their shocks, you really have no clue.

Too many people suggest suspension based on ignorant experience, or outright repeating what someone else runs.

Just because a drift car runs it doesn't make it good, just because your friend said they were great doesn't make them good, and certainly until you are able to discertain the differences in functionality between the choices you aren't able to properly make a suggestion.

I would say save up for some real coilovers. If you plan on doing any kind of racing (autocross) or drifting, you're going to get more out of a full coilover setup. The SPL KTS line seems to be the best bang for the buck. Although, Ksports are also good. I'm ordering Ksports with custom spring rates (8/6) for around $700, right here on Nico.

If you have a lot of bumpy roads in your area, you might want to go with a softer spring coilover setup, or maybe even a shock/spring combo.

What do you plan on using the car for?

Even though its not on your list, D2s are nice, Iam currently running them and they work great for track/autoX.

I drove a on a set of Megan's the other night (I own D2's) and was impressed for the price. The only Teins I would spend the money on are N1 (not available for our cars) or the RS. Most the typical japanese manufacturers are around similar build quality and range between 1400-1800 depending on make and model. Most of which you can't go too far wrong with.

Sub $1000 I recommend the Megan Racing, above $1000 to $2200 I'd get the KTS/SPL, above that you have a number of options open to you. Personally I'm going to get either the Tein RS or have Advance Design make me a set.

I personally want Double adjustability (seperate rebound and compression) and preferably external resevoirs. Although that's more than likely well above in price range what you are looking at.

Havent messed with Megans, but they get great reviews, the coilover I was going to go with, but went D2.
