So i noticed we dont have very much factual information on coilovers. i mean brands, spring rate, max drops, and what not. reason i state this is i search on our search toolbar and nothing comes up. And i see posts from time to time asking, " hey how do those stance gr pros ride."or those Tien coilovers this,or godspeed that. so is it possible to make a buyers guide on all coilovers maybe model type, smoothness(spring rates), good for track or DD, and maybe what people thing about there own of coilovers. This would be a great help to myself and those many others looking to invest a GRAND or more on coils and dont have any idea what they are getting into.* and if we already have one and i dont know please and ill walk away

most coilover manufacture will set the s13's at 8K, for fronts, and 6k at rear. not unless, you request order for stiffer spring rates. some will have 32-way adjustable, which I don't see the point. but the 15-way are fine enough. 240sx coilovers all look the same. what I believe to be different, is the valving of the shocks in them.

so it really depends what brand you will like. if you want GODSPEED, ISIS, MEGAN, because of budget, then nothing is wrong with that.personally, I like coilovers that has rebuild policy that's why I opted for KTS.

Part Shop Max Coilovers.-Bought from psm in San Diego, Ca. -$1050 shipped to my door. -They come in 10k.F and 8k.R spring rates. -They make optional 6K springs that you can put in the rear and switch the 8k to the front. -I've heard mixed reviews about the quality in this set-up b/c of the shocks valving, but I have no personal experience with it. Sorry. -They're 10 way adjustable, with a noticeable difference in each setting. -1 being sporty and 10 being pretty brutally stiff. *Not inverted mono-tube like Stance or DMAX (all dampening knobs are on top instead of on the bottom (F) and top (R))-Moderate comfort can be achieved with a 60 series tire.-Camber is changed via camber plates on top of the coilovers. **They do not have slotted holes on the bottom mounts for more camber like DMAX or Function & Form.-For wheel clearance, they have about 6" of backspace on their lowest ride height setting.-I'm Sure you could squeeze more with moderate ride height and a shorter spring. -Their Bottom mounts are adjustable.-So no need to droop or raise the spring for ride height. -They go pretty low out of the box. -7" springs front and back.-Spring seats are like 62.5mm so they're not compatible with shorter springs from Swift or Tein. -PSM did offer a shorter spring that measured 5.3" a while ago.-They might be on special order know.-If interested though, Just send Dan a message asking about them.-He's a pretty cool guy.-Always replied with tons of info when I had a question.-Awesome customer service. -AA+++-If something does happen to go wrong with your shocks, they have replacement shocks in stock for $100. -Pretty darn good if you ask me.

*My interpretation:I was extremely satisfied with these coilovers when I got them. I bought these when my AGX shocks blew. The AGX were good shocks but I had the settings maxed out and still wanted some more adjustability (dampening and height wise) so I just opted for coilovers. It was between Stance or these. I picked these b/c I wanted to try this "new" company, even though I knew Stance was pretty reputable. I started off with a subtle 3/1 setting and I was really satisfied with the ride. I was expecting them to be a lot stiffer like people were complaining about. I kicked it up to 5/3 and it eliminated most of my body roll. Ride quality was still good, probably b/c of the stock 60 series tires I had. It's been a year since I first got them. I ride them at 10/8 now b/c I rub a lot with these monster truck tires at this ride height. Ride isn't very comfortable but taking turns have never felt better. DD or Track, these coilovers are versatile. And for a thousand bucks, you really cant complain.

-Gabe, one Satisfied customer.
