First upgrade I perform after I upgrade my rack and pinion, and tie rods is going to be the front and back sway bar, as well as coilovers.

My only problem is figuring out which I would want. My ultimate goal is 500rwhp. my Z is was a TT from factory but the last owner swapped in an NA but i will be returning it to TT as soon as i have the funds (or frankenstein it with an LS2/3)

anyways. I want peoples opinions on which coilovers to get. I keep reading powertrix is very reliable but which would you pick between Tein GSN22-21SS2 Street Advance Coilover Kit or Powertrix 300ZX Sport Street Coilovers Z32.

also between the sway bars which have ya'll tested between ST Suspension Anti-Swaybar Set Front & Rear Nissan 300ZX Z32 and Stillen 300ZX Adjustable Sway Bars.

My opinion the powertrix R/T coils are the best bang for the buck. Tie rods and sways are going to be less expensive than coils. up to you. Do you want it to be lowered and have nice wheels 1st or do you want to go with the cheaper mod 1st and save money up for the more expensive one. On my Z I'm going wheels. suspension, stero system 1st. Then Im going with all other mods that I can do minus motor mods. Then only thing left to do will be swap and motor mods. At a very much later date.

Assuming the last engine in it was dead (car is at 245k miles now) Probably went the cheaper route instead of finding a used TT engine or having it rebuilt went for some cheap NA engine.

Got the tie rods and rack and pinion in the mail a few minutes ago.

I am going to be doing Suspension, then engine, then looks. Not going to worry about stereo until I redo the interior (ripped out all the old carpet and seats yesterday). It had roaches, spiders and the A/C Condensor was leaking in the passenger side. Going to either have the seats redone or go for some aftermarket seats depending on weight.

Eww spiders.... I might have sold the car after that. You deserve cool points. Good plan on suspension before everything else. Gotta make sure you're car can handle the power before you get it

Do what I did! Powertrix coils, Stillen sway (front/back), and CZP end links. Like someone else said, Powertrix has a group buy right now, GET IN WHILE YOU CAN!!

From what I've found, I havent heard that the Stillen sway bars are much of an improvement from stock. I tracked down a TT rear sway bar from a wrecked Z on craigslist for my Z. The N/A and TT front bar are essentially the same, but the rear is much smaller on the N/A. The TT rear sway bar is a huge improvement over stock and is a much cheaper alternative than the Stillen kit. The rear sway bar should have been the first upgrade I did on my N/A, so I would recommend the same to you!

If your car was actually a TT from the factory, it will have HICAS, if youre replacing the rack and pinion and other suspension components, you may want to look into replacing the HICAS lines or deleting the HICAS system all together. With that mileage it will probably leak and or already be on its way out. Take a look at the differential and let us know if it has HICAS. That will tell you definitely if it was originally a TT. Its unlikely the previous owner swapped out the diff, subframe, deleted the lines and spent the money to do that if he was a cheapskate.

Get the Powertrix R/T coilovers through the group buy, and you'll need to get the adjustable FUCAs and RUCAs and tension rods as well to lower the car any, plus they have sway end links. Charles will give you GB pricing for the adjustable bits as well so do it while the getting is good.
Everyone who's had Stillen sways seems happy, so Powertrix/Stillen is probably your best buy in the suspension area.

Now, on another note as suggested above and in your other post, it's highly unlikely that the PO swapped all of the pieces it seems may be missing from your car when dumping an old TT engine...among many things, you should have the HICAS system both in the front passenger side (controller) and the unit itself between the rear axle and the bottom of the car, with links to the rear uprights.
You should also have the larger stiffer TT sway bars which you really would not need to upgrade especially for an NA, so all in all I would be sure to check your car thoroughly for what it actually was, and is as far as NA/TT goes.

I went with the BC Coilovers, Stillen Front and Rear swaybars with Conceptz Links... The car handles like its on rails. Also put a set of Varstoens 18x8.5 front and 18x10.5 Rear (rear fender rolling is required). Also think about putting some Adjustable Camber Arms on if you are going with coilovers. I got mine from Godspeed project, they are durable and decently priced.

I'm surprised no one has stated the obvious: Get the car done and driving first. You don't buy sway bars for no good reason, so find out what you want to accomplish first. Dropping a Z32 on coilovers and slapping big bars on the front and rear changes the suspension characteristics a TON.

Nope ST bars are known for fitment issues compared to the stillen.

You sure about that. I compared my ST bar with the Stillen side by side and they sure look similar, other than the red "Stillen" sticker. Both measured OD were the same. Also had no fittment issues with my ST bars. HMMMM! thats interesting if they are not the same though.

I think you should go with the Powertrix set.

I personally went with Tein Flex with EDFC. Only because I wanted EDFC if EDFC wasn't a deciding factor for me then I would have went with the UL Powertrix coilovers.

Eh, EDFC doesn't really do much for me. I'm gonna mod my rear strut covers with little holes for the allen keys when I take them off for a strut tower bar.
